This is a fun and delightful cake decorating class where you’ll learn to turn plain cakes into edible works of art.
In this class, we’ll whisk you away into the magical world of cake decorating. This class is technique-focused. We will explore fundamental skills that can help you create edible masterpieces with precision and flair.
What to expect to learn:
- Piping basics: learning how to hold a piping bag, using different piping tips and practicing several piping techniques.
- Perfect piping: learn to pipe with finesse as we explore a variety of piping techniques, from classic borders, rosettes to intricate basketweave designs. Learn how to achieve smooth, consistent lines and create elegant patterns that will impress any crowd.
- Texture and detailing: explore simple hacks and techniques for adding texture, depth and detailing to your cakes using a variety of tools and materials you already have at home.
- Finishing touches: discover the secrets to adding those final touches that take your cakes from ordinary to wow. Learn how to create smooth edges and elegant borders that will give your cakes a polished, professional look.
What is included:
- Your own mini cake to decorate and take home
- Coffee / tea are provided throughout the class
- Morning tea nibbles are provided as part of the class
- The cooking class will last approximately 2 hours
This class is gluten free, dairy free and vegan.
This class contributes to 10-20 hrs of meaningful employment for our team and helps us donate towards 5000 micronutrient fortified meals for children under 5 in Rwanda, Malawi, Kenya and Tanzania.
