This crunchy and addictive healthy treat is made with only 5 ingredients and it is loved by kids. To customize these bars, you can replace the peanut butter with another nut butter of your choice and you can adjust the sweetness level too.

  • 1/3 cup coconut oil
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/3 cup maple
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 4 cups puffed rice
  • optional: 4 TBSP of your favourite chocolate
  • optional: slivered almonds and sprinkles
  1. Line a square baking tray with baking paper and set aside.
  2. In a medium pan melt add the coconut oil, maple syrup, peanut butter and salt.
  3. Stir these together on low heat until you get a sticky, runny, thick mix.
  4. Take the pan off heat and stir in the puffed rice until it is all coated.
  5. Scoop the mix into the square tray and firmly pat it down. Make sure it is all even and tightly packed.
  6. If you’re using chocolate, melt it and drizzle on top.
  7. If you’re using slivered almonds or sprinkles, with or without chocolate, add these on top while the bars are still sticky.
  8. Place the tray in the fridge.
  9. Cut and enjoy! These will keep for 3-4 weeks in an airtight container in the fridge.
